Gouvia, Corfu

Monday 5th June I took a last minute trip to one of my favourite places, Corfu. This time I stayed in Gouvia, a village and resort located 8km from Corfu Town and 20 minutes away from the Airport.

I stayed in a small, uncommercialised hotel called the Iliada Beach Hotel. The room I was in backed onto a garden and other housing, different from my usual sea view however it made me feel a sense of culture.

A 5 minute walk from the hotel is the Gouvia marina and Venetian ship yard. I’d highly recommend going to visit them both. Also, once you pass the marina there is signs pointing to another village, this is a must to visit as it isn’t a resort and you get to have a feel for everyday life in the village.

Here are just a handful of the beautiful scenes.
